Earlier this month, we made the exciting announcement that Monica Roberts, who currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Executive Director at City Year Greater Boston, will take the helm as CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEMA) starting November 1.
As a longtime Girl Scout supporter, you know Monica will inherit a strong council. This is largely thanks to the extraordinary leadership of Barbara Fortier, who dedicated herself to GSEMA for the past 23 years. Barb led the Council through the pandemic, kept us in a strong financial and operational standing, and brought leadership stability, tenured expertise, and a consistent focus on our Girl Scouts and volunteers.
