Welcome! Ally Yoga and Mindfulness Family Studio will create a custom class to meet the diverse needs of your Troop. It will be led by Ally, a Lifetime Girl Scout and Registered Children's Yoga Teacher / RYT500. We can work towards specific badge requirements for the different program levels (such as "Gloria/Purple: Respecting Myself and Others", "My Best Self", "Staying Fit", "Science of Happiness", "Women's Health") or have a more traditional yoga and mindfulness class. Arts and crafts and SEL activities can be included too with interest.
Some goals of these classes include building troop community with partner and group poses and activities, as well as bringing awareness to individual benefits such as image, positivity, strength, mindful breathing, balance, ways to reduce stress, and FUN!!

The girls will use their imagination and experiment with various materials to create a work of art. This can be a specific theme or focus. Art supplies included and projects are taken home.

We bring the fun to you! We offer badge programs for kids of all ages Daisy through Seniors at the convenience of your regular meeting location, day and time! Each badge program has been designed to keep the activity set guidelines in mind. The program consists of the girls making a product related to the badge that they get to take home, followed by classroom discussions and activities revolving around the topic.
Every badge program centers around making a bath and body product. In the process they are learning different skill sets which could be STEM related such as learning about mixing different materials together or creating their own products through trial and error. The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women was inspired by the United Nations’ Fourth World Conference on Women held in Beijing, China in September 1995. The conference directed state governments to “form and adequately fund Women’s Commissions in all states and territories where they do not already exist.” Massachusetts’ delegates at the Beijing Conference including then Massachusetts First Lady Susan Roosevelt Weld, returned determined that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts should have its own Women’s Commission.
With the help of many including state legislators, a unique and model Commission was created in May 1998 with appointing authority shared by the Executive and Legislative branches. Since conception, our 19 volunteer commissioners, staff and interns have dedicated themselves to the promotion and protection of equality for women and girls in all areas of their lives.

With a shelter in Salisbury and the Catmobile providing spay/neuter surgeries around Massachusetts, Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society works to improve the lives of all cats and provide support and education for the people who care about them. Through adoption, low cost spay-neuter and many other life saving programs, we have helped more than 142,000 cats since our inception over 30 years ago. MRFRS is able to support local Girl Scout troops to help Scouts earn badges (such as the Pets badge, Animal Helper badge, and Voice for Animals badge) through volunteer opportunities including participating in our blanket making program for adopted cats, organizing a wish list donation drive, learning more about animal welfare, or providing volunteer hours for one of our fundraising events. Learn how to use a map and compass with your troop at New England Orienteering Club. Registration closes 3 weeks before events. Leader training is offered free of charge a week or so prior to each event for adults wanting to refresh their skills.
Girl Scout troops are welcome at all NEOC orienteering events (with advance notice), or try a BYOM (Bring Your Own Map) event, where the courses are available for use over a period of 1-2 weeks so you can orienteer at a time convenient for you. Home Alone/Staying Safe, and Babysitter Safety. Both courses align with Girl Scout badges. We make serious business fun!
HOME ALONE STAYING SAFE, (4-5 Junior) 2.5-hours This class covers both home alone safety and street smarts. It will prepare kids to handle most home alone situations, from an unexpected knock on the door to an emergency 911 phone call. It also covers food/kitchen safety, choking rescue, basic first aid, handling fears, basic street smarts, self-defense techniques and lots of prevention!

Troop/group leaders and volunteers, please note that if the Safety Activity Checkpoints for a specific activity states “Council Approval: Required” (i.e. all overnights, challenge courses, horseback riding), be sure to submit a GSEMA Safety Approval Form four (4) weeks in advance of your activity (or with as much notice as possible) and BEFORE making any definitive plans, booking with vendors/partners, or advertising your event.
