Your Girl Scout friends can't wait to meet you.

The groups of Girl Scouts who meet for activities and adventures are called Girl Scout troops. And once you find yours, you’ll never want to let them go.

Why? Because these Girl Scouts and their families are going to become a circle of friendship like you’ve never had before. Your troop is a safe space where you can take risks, have fun, and be your true, unfiltered self.

Together, you'll learn that what makes each of you unique is what makes you powerful.

With all this support and encouragement, it’s not surprising that four out of five Girl Scouts say they have a best friend in their troop.

Getting started is simple.

After providing basic contact information, you’ll get a list of troops that might be right for you. Check out their meeting frequencies, times, and locations—then choose the one you like best.

How to Join Girl Scouts and Find a Troop toggle arrow

Click “Be a Girl Scout."
Select “Find Troops” and continue through the search.
Select a troop by clicking the plus sign next to “Girls.”
- If you are unable to locate a specific troop, please continue with the IRM registration instructions to complete registration. Once your registration is complete, please email our customer care team with the troop number you are trying to join as well as the troop leader’s name(s). A council staff member will be in touch to complete your placement.
At the Log In prompt, either create a new account or log in to an existing one.
Once you are logged in, you will be able to continue filling out your member details and payment information.
- You will pay $65 in GSUSA membership dues and a $25 council service fee for youth members. If you require financial assistance, please select the financial assistance option during checkout and we will contact you with more information.
Your troop leader will be notified once you have completed registration and contact you to involve you with troop activities!
