Troop Formation | Needham
Date: Mon Nov 28, 6:00 PM EST - Mon Nov 28, 7:00 PM EST

Needham Kindergarten Families are invited to attend our Get Started meeting for brand new Daisy Starter Troop 77215.

Think of the Girl Scouts' Daisy program as your one-stop shop when it comes to building your kindergartener’s social skills, keeping them moving, and providing an extra bit of stability in this ever-changing world. Whether your future Girl Scout is dreaming up a new toy, learning about bravery, or helping plant a garden, you can rest easy knowing your Girl Scout is safe, having fun, and becoming their best self.

Starter Troops are facilitator run troops with the goal of transitioning to a fully functioning, volunteer led troop. Starter Troops typically meet for 4-6 meetings, over a span of 4-6 weeks before transitioning to volunteer leadership. During the initial 4-6 meetings, facilitators work to provide Girl Scout programming to girls while identifying and mentoring potential leaders. Caregivers should expect to stay during these sessions. Our goal is that through these 4 meetings is that the troop will transition to a volunteer leadership team and that the troop will continue to meet moving forward. Please note that volunteers in the leadership team may choose a meeting schedule that works for them.
