Computer programming is an invaluable skill that teaches problem-solving, critical thinking, and technical skills important for future careers. So right now is the perfect time for Girl Scouts to start developing these skills and earning their Coding for Good badges while they’re at it! But what exactly is code?

Rising kindergarteners, current kindergarteners, and 1st graders and their adults are invited to join Girl Scouts staff and volunteers on Wednesday, February 28, at 6:30 PM in the library at Swallow Union to create the steps, or a code, to their very own dance. Please let us know you're attending at gsema.org/eventrsvp2 or that you're interested at gsema.org/moreinfo.

At this event, future Girl Scouts will begin developing basic leadership skills through engaging, interactive, and thoughtful activities—the core of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience—while their adults learn how to bring Girl Scouts to your neighborhood and get involved with a troop. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place—come see what we’re all about!
