Bring your troop (signup is by troop, not individual) to the New England Orienteering Club's annual Fall Orienteering event to learn how to use a map and compass practice your new skills, try them in the dark and then compete against other youth the following day. Come for 1 day ($15) or 2 days ($20 per adult/youth participant): includes group instruction, custom patch, full color maps and 5 orienteering courses of different levels to practice on, and the not-to-be-missed chance to go Night Orienteering. Sunday is the New England Orienteering Scout Championship with trophies to the winning teams.
Please be sure to review the Safety Activity Checkpoints for this activity, which includes, but is not limited to the presence of a GSEMA approved first aid/CPR certified volunteer.
